He took his graduation and post graduation in Economics from Dhaka University.His field of interest includes International Trade,Environment economics, Financial Management and macroeconomic issues. He is currently working as an assistant on "state of livelihood".

Shakila Haque is a research intern in this organisation. Shakila completed her M.S.S and B.S.S in Economics from University of Dhaka. She is interested in Environmental, Development and Macroeconomics issues of Bangladesh.

He has completed his masters from Dhaka Universty in Economics. Now, he is working for the Economic Policy unit at Unnayan Onneshan.

 

 

Jayanta Kumar Basak

Jayanta Kumar BasakJayanta Kumar Basak is specialized in application of Crop Model (DSSAT, CropWat) and his research interest includes Climate Change and It’s Impacts on Agriculture Sector, Food Security, Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies for Changing Climatic Conditions. He published research articles and presented papers in national and international conferences. He also carried out training class in International Training Network (ITN)-BUET. Currently he is working with Ecology and Environment Unit of Unnayan Onneshan as research assistant. He studied Environmental Engineering focusing on Climate Changes and its impacts on Agricultural production in Bangladesh.

 
 

Mohammed Abdul Baten

Mohammed Abdul Baten He has a MSc. in Ecosystems, Governance and Globalisation from the University of Stockholm, Sweden. Prior to joining Unnayan Onneshan in 2009 as Research Associate, he worked in Indonesia under European Union Mangrove Project as Research Assistant.  

His research interests pertain to Climate Change Negotiations, Adaptation, Common Property Resources Management, Participatory and Collaborative Management, Traditional Knowledge Systems, Ecosystem Approach, Gender Issues, Sustainable Development.  

He attended many international conferences and workshops; and published several research articles. Many of his articles on environmental and governance issues have already been published in different national and international dailies and weeklies.  

Currently, he is researching on gender issues in the paradigm of climate change.
